Truth-Based Semantics: Truth semantics carries out the step from reference semantics, which examines the relation of linguistic expressions to objects, to the relation of entire sentences, which can be true or false, to facts or situations. This enables a systematic theory of meaning. See also Correspondence Theory, Truth, Truth-Conditional Semantics, Truth Tables, Truth Conditions, Meaning Theory.

Jürgen Habermas on Truth-Based Semantics - Dictionary of Arguments

III 373
Truth-Based Semantics/Habermas: only the step from reference semantics to truth-based semantics establishes a formal scientific theory of meaning. Here, the relation between sentence and facts, between language and world comes to the fore.(1)
>Reference semantics
, >Semantics, Cf. >Semantics of conceptual role.
III 374
Only now is there an inseparable connection between the validity of statements, the meaning of sentences and the understanding of sentence meanings.
>Validity, >Statements, >Meaning, >Sentences, >Understanding,
>Sentence meaning.
There is also a connection between the meaning of a linguistic expression and the validity of a sentence formed with its help.
>Validity claims.
